Admission
Your best start to a University of Wisconsin degree and unlimited job and career opportunities begins at the University of Wisconsin-Baraboo/Sauk County.

It's the best of both worlds. You get the small classes and personal attention of a private college at a public university cost. And after your sophomore year, you transfer to a UW baccalaureate campus or other college or university to finish your bachelor's degree.
UW-Baraboo/Sauk County offers you:

  • small class sizes with an average of approximately 20 students per class
  • dedicated, caring, experienced faculty
  • the UW Guaranteed Transfer Program
  • a solid academic foundation that leads to success in academics and careers
  • classes held days and evenings throughout the year
  • the opportunity to live at home. Keep your job, keep your friends!
  • the lowest tuition in the UW System

Registration
Registration for classes at UW-Baraboo/Sauk County occurs for each semester according to a priority based upon the number of credits previously earned, including officially evaluated transfer credits.

Advance registration for continuing, transfer, and reentry students usually begins on the second Monday of April for the fall semester and the second Monday of November for the spring semester. Continuing students receive a registration "appointment time" which indicates when they are eligible to begin registering for classes within the advance registration period.
